Descriptions Jacob Tipsico - a Michigan Chippewa

The intent of this book is to communicate as accurately as possible the rise, fall, and rise again of a proud nation: the Michigan Chippewa. The Chippewa tribe of Michigan was the third largest Native American tribe in North America. The story of the Michigan Chippewa is reflected through the experiences of Jacob Tipsico and his family. This family lived in Michigan long before the white man arrived, and continues to populate the area today. Applying his legendary athletic abilities, leadership skills, and charismatic personality, Tipsico won the hearts of many within his own community, as well as the settlers with whom he came in contact.
